Set in the heart of the Hampshire countryside the pub is a haven for walkers, cyclists and those who prefer just to relax in beautiful surroundings. Across the river is the Test Way, a flat and easy walk along the route of the disused Spratt and Winkle railway line. Or for those wanting far reaching views there are the nearby Iron Age forts at Danebury and Stockbridge Down or closer to home there is Chilbolton Down. Dogs are always welcome.

Proprietors, Barry and Julie Lane, have been welcoming visitors to their beautiful riverside pub for over 25 years. So if you want to sip a Pimms on the riverside terrace in the summer or drink a warming glass of red wine by one of the wood burning stoves in the cosy bar in the winter this is the place for you.
