In 1998 after years of success in the business in California Zecchini chose downtown Saratoga Springs NY as the home for his new restaurant Chianti Il Ristorante. Chianti was opened in the former site of a fast food restaurant a building which had to be completely renovated and transformed into the intimate environment it became celebrated for.
