Wolds Village

Wolds Village is a family run establishment offering luxury Guest House accommodation and is located in a magnificent Georgian farmstead, which during the 18th Century incorporated a Coaching Inn & Courthouse. The Bainton Beacon Assizes were held here with villains being locked up overnight in the extensive cellars before being marched along Dead Lane to Neswick where a gibbet (Gallows) stood in the field. The current owners have extensively renovated this stunning property since 1995 into the thriving attraction it is today.

Wolds Village is located in the unspoilt Yorkshire Wolds at the centre of the East Riding of Yorkshire. Within a 30 mile radius lie Hull, Beverley, Bridlington, Hornsea, Scarborough, Malton, Driffield & York. With the North Yorkshire Moors & Whitby a pleasant drive to the North.

The business was established on Valentines Day 1995, it was set up in the form of a small village layout around two courtyards of converted Georgian farm buildings and will continue to develop in line with this theme. The development has been carried out “in-house” which has been slower but given customers the chance to watch the place grow, adding to their interest each time they return.

We strive to offer the best we can to make your visit enjoyable while still giving great value for money. The entries and layout have been carefully designed to give easy access to everyone. We have been sympathetically restoring and converting the property since 1995 into a licensed Restaurant and Tearoom, Craft Shop and Guest House with Hotel Quality Accommodation.
