Introduction
We welcome you to the Walnut lawn Bed & Breakfast nestled in the Village of Lampeter, Lancaster County, PA. This brick two-story Dutch Colonial offers five guest rooms with four private baths. When you arrive at the Walnut Lawn you will notice the giant walnut tree that shades the front of the B&B along with the mature fruit trees that line the driveway. A spacious wrap-around porch welcomes you to our Inn and once inside you will marvel at the beautifully maintained custom crafted chestnut woodwork and pocket doors.
The outside features expansive front porch with its bench swing, wicker garden furniture and antique rocking chairs. Our guest friendly grounds welcome you to stroll around the water fountain or sit on our garden swing while admiring the flowering wisteria bush adorning the pergola or enjoy the gazebo and watch an Amish buggy ride by. We are in the midst of Amish and Mennonite farms near covered bridges, outlet malls, antique and quilt shops, theatres, museums, outdoor markets, bike or hiking trails throughout the County. Our lodging has hosted visitors from around the world and have accommodated families who attend weddings, special events, college visits and for those who just want to get away.
Tom and Sarah, your Innkeepers, spent three years teaching English in Thailand as Peace Corps Volunteers after retiring from their careers in education and nursing. They have always enjoyed hosting family and friends and now welcome the opportunity to offer you a unique lodging experience within the Amish and Mennonite culture of Lancaster County.
