Introduction
Philippe Castaing and Stephanie Mercier were already running their eponymous Brixton Coffee Shop, "Opus", when they decided to further their gastronomic adventures. Stephanie and Philippe oversaw the design and transformation of a once derelict flat into a bijoux bar and restaurant, bringing their front of house expertise along the way.
Martyn Reynolds grew up in Carlisle, Cumbria. His culinary journey began as an apprentice in the Lake District at Michelin starred Michael's Nook. Curiosity and adventure took Martyn to Rome's 3 Michelin starred La Pergola, one of Italy's finest restaurant. An amazing opportunity brought him back to London, working for William Drabble at the famous Aubergine restaurant in Chelsea, eventually running the kitchen on his behalf. Martyn was most recently the Head Chef at Michelin starred "Seven Park Place". His culinary style is routed in the Anglo French and Italian "terroir". Martyn's cooking is constantly evolving, gathering all the experiences of working with brilliant chefs for the last 14 years into his own.
