A warm welcome awaits you at the Old Horns Inn where changes have been made to match the stunning views over the Bradfield Moors and the great location next to St. Nicholas' church.
Landlord John Wyke and his carefully selected team of new and existing staff took over at the beginning of December 09, turning the place around in a short time. Old and new customers are welcome to enjoy a great atmosphere and customer service, as well as delicious food and drink which is now available throughout the pub and can be enjoyed with breathtaking views from the extension.
Since the beginning of December 09, a new kitchen has been installed complete with a team of chefs who are full of new ideas. The exciting menu includes fresh home-cooked food with pub classics, incorporating a snack menu with fresh sandwiches and jacket potatoes, using food sourced from local suppliers.
Now established as one of the best Pubs in the United Kingdom, the pub won the much coverted Thwaites Pub of the Year award, aswell as Best Food of the Year earlier in 2011.
To tempt you mid week, a 2 meals for £5 menu is served Monday to Friday 11.30 am ' 3pm, consisting of traditional casseroles, fish and chips and more. Not forgetting the little ones, a children's menu is also served. For people with a sweet tooth there is a fantastic dessert menu, including the Mollybockerglory- a huge serving of a wide range of Our Cow Molly ice-cream stacked with every topping imaginable ' ideal for sharing.
Sunday is carvery day and due to its popularity, booking is advisable. Served 11.30am ' 7pm, it offers three quality roast meats from John Crawshaw's Butchers, a large selection of fresh vegetables and potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing and thick, rich, meat gravy. There is a vegetarian and gluten free menu available, just ask a member of staff for details. A wide range of other meals are also now available on a Sunday too.
To get over the weekend blues, Tuesday is quiz night where a rolling jackpot, carvery vouchers and other prizes can be won.
