Introduction
The term hidden gem was coined for the Butchers Arms. This perfect pub restaurant nestles in amongst the houses on the hill above Pontardawe in the little village of Alltwen.
We offer a wide ranging selection of tasty and very fresh food. If you love fish then you will love The Butchers; we specialise in really fresh non fussy food and Steve’s fish specials are a perfect example. If you want a treat then try his party fruit de mer platters (pre booked only).
Then there’s the pasta dishes, again all our food is carefully cooked, fresh and tasty. Its not all about fish and pasta, we like our pub favourites too and if you are looking for a deal, our mid-week two course menu at £11.95 is hard to beat. On Tuesday nights our steak offer – two steaks and drinks for £22.95 is also great value
