The Alma is the home of great, award winning food & towards the back of the pub our large & airy dining room is a great escape from the buzz of the bar. Head Chef, Martin O'Brien and his team take inspiration from classic pub dishes to modern gastropub dining, our chefs insist on as local produce as possible, and create menus that change according to the seasons ' think English asparagus, Barnsley lamb chops, slow-cooked pork belly, fresh-caught scallops from English waters, 21-day aged steaks with hand-cut chips.
While our dining room stands as a destination in its own right, it's still just as relaxed and easy-going as the rest of The Alma, so you can use it to start the day with a big breakfast, have a casual lunch or a formal dinner. If you prefer, eat in the bar for even more informal dining.
