Wedding Bands - Jazz Bands - Swing Band - Duos - Solo Piano
BANDS
Solway Music has a variety of bands available capable of playing a wide cross section of music.
Swingthing - a jazz / swing / function band specialising in weddings, celebrations, parties and corporate engagements. This is a versatile group of musicians that can easily provide music for your wedding or function that will cater for a wide spectrum of tastes in music from jazz to swing through to pop. A feature of this band is the fabulous voice of Ronnie Walker which enables the band to visit the days of swing music and the infamous “rat pack.â€They have performed not only in Cumbria and the Lake District but in venues as far apart as Aberdeen and Birmingham.
3jazz - a quality jazz trio is available for your wedding reception, function or special event. The band has performed not only in Cumbria and the Lake District, but also in venues throughout the north of England and is a group of exceptional performers. This trio has a wide repertoire of jazz and swing standards ranging from the 1940’s until the present day.
Solo Piano Brian Melville Solo pianist - is available to create just the right ambience for your wedding with a wide repertoire of jazz, swing and pop music for your reception or ceremony. Also available for lounge work throughout Cumbria and the Lake District.
West Coast Jazz - this exceptional band is also based in Cumbria and plays a mix of jazz standards, blues, rock and fusion . It is also available for corporate work jazz clubs or your wedding reception.
Duos - can be supplied in a variety of combinations.
Schools
Support is available to schools in a variety of disciplines. Keyboard tuition is available at all levels from beginner to advanced levels…. Guitar teaching is available for any pupil who requires a thorough grounding in the basics before proceeding to more advanced work….
Brass instrument tuition is possible from beginner to intermediate levels with a wealth of experience in this area…..
Tuition on the recorder is available and takes pupils from beginner to advanced in easy stages….
Vocal tuition is available and is delivered to large and small groups inside or outside the classroom.
Arranging - at Solway Music we have a variety of arrangements available from small to large ensembles and from vocal to instrumental.
Solway Studio - is a recording facility which is an integral part of Solway Music and is used to augment our activities.
