Introduction
We are a beautiful historic Victorian Inn located in on Route 7 in South Central Vermont. rebuilt in 1891 for his new bride, Silas Griffith created a masterpiece of Victorian architecture. The Manor House of the Inn features hand carved cherry fireplaces, custom made embossed tin ceiling, stained glass windows and hand carved bird's-eye maple panels.
We're family friendly and pet friendly, with games, books, walking paths through the meadows and a seasonal (late May-early September) in-ground outdoor swimming pool and a seasonal (late April-late October) outdoor spa/hot tub. We're close to the Appalachian Trail, Long Trail, Killington, Stratton, Bromley, Okemo, Pico and Magic Mountain. The Green Mountain National Forest is just across Route 7, about 3.5 miles from the parking area to the trail heads. And, Emerald Lake State Park is just 5 miles south on Route 7.
Other activities in the area includes hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, snowshoeing, skiing, snowboarding, Outlet shopping, museums, live theaters, movie theaters, historic sites and more.
Your stay in one of our private queen or king bedrooms includes Free Wi-Fi and DSL, Free dvd rentals and popcorn (available at the front desk) and a custom cooked breakfast featuring local eggs, Vermont cheese, and local in-season vegetables. All of our rooms have private bathrooms, gas fireplaces for the cold months and air conditioning for the warm months.
