When Scott first began his photography career he shot sports, editorials, sports, portraits, sportraits, sports, sports, products, sports, and sports. Playing sports his whole life it was just natural that he gravitated towards documenting the activities he loved. Scott was so set on shooting sports that he never even entertained the idea of shooting a wedding. It wasn't until 2012, two years after graduating from college, that shooting weddings even crossed his mind.
Scott had not felt the progression and adaptability that he'd come accustomed to while shooting sports. At work he shoots products in a studio which is often a learning experience in its own right, but it left him wanting more. Scott missed capturing stories, emotions, expressions, peak action, and defining moments. He has a passion to build relationships with subjects/clients, learn about them, and tell their story. Scott began seeing weddings a new challenge, something that he could be passionate about, and a skill waiting to be developed.
Scott came to realize that so much of what he loved about shooting sports can carry over directly to wedding photography. So after turning down countless wedding photography requests, he is now expanding his expertise to include weddings.
