Because everyone falls somewhere on the sweet-savoury-spicy spectrum we offer a huge choice of the most delicious flavours and ingredients, and all our food is super fresh, with the shortest time from source to plate. We like to hat tip the seasons with changing menus and, where possible, we use fair trade, local and free range ingredients to ensure good karma all round.
Penni Black caters for every occasion, be it a wedding, a corporate event, or a private party for two. Our rather special food comes creatively presented in everything from wooden spoons to hand painted ceramic bowls, and whether you want canapés, a buffet, seated dinner party, BBQ, or picnic, there is a package for every season and size.

Meet Our Team (4)
Ed Holcroft
General Manager
Ed is our General Manager and a very busy man. His CV is also rather impressive, serving the biggest and best of British to include:-
•Managing the ground floor of the East Albion Club within the Olympic Hospitality Centre for clients such as Freshfields llp, The Government, CBS outdoor, Heineken, GlaxoSmithKline, RioTinto and John Lewis.
•Running conferences for Adobe Digital Marketing Summit 2012.
•Running chalets at Paris and Farnborough Air Shows,
•Event managing large and prestigious events such as the Conservative Black and White Ball and the Sports Industry Awards.
•Running many Charity Events; including Sports Aid, The official launch of the 2012 British Formula One Grand Prix in aid of Great Ormond St and the Caudwell Children’s Butterfly Ball.
•Working at all the big venues to include Excel, Manchester Event City, Battersea Evolution, The Guildhall, the Tower of London, and the O2. When your GM has managed sit down dinners of up to 2,500, and 7,000 standing, you know he'll also probably make a really good cup of tea.

Emma Calvert
Events Co Ordinator
Our Events Co Ordinator, has travelled to the other side of the world, eaten the food and spoken the languages. She worked for a leading communication, media and events company in Oz and has now brought her experience back to PenniBlack HQ for all to enjoy. She will be choosing the perfect service team for your event, sitting in on the tastings, sightseeing the venue with you, booking the flowers, equipment and entertainment, basically anything you need to have sorted, Emma is there to make it happen.
Kate Tufft
Events Client Manager
Our Events Client Manager grew up working for her Mums Thai Catering Company at festivals such as V and Leeds. Catering has been part of her world from an early age. She has a real passion for food and brings a dynamic and creative approach to her work; it also means we get treated to her famous Thai Green Curry! She came to PenniBlack from the Carlton Club, where she worked with some of the most influential people in British politics. Organising events with Sir John Major for the Queens Diamond Jubilee, honouring Baroness Thatcher with a commemoration lunch and often welcoming the Prime Minister himself! Kate certainly has the contacts!
Mick Daly
Our Head Chef
Our head chef wears his hat well. With his food knowledge and expertise, you can be assured you and your guests will get true Michelin star treatment.
As he concocts the perfect menu to suit the individual tastes of you and your husband to be. Mick has catered for the Paris Air Show, the MTV Awards in Madrid, and toured with musicians like Andrea Bocelli, keeping the 'talent' eager for second helpings.
Mick has catered a great number of different weddings at many of London’s amazing venues including a Jewish wedding for 700.
Whatever challenge you throw at him, he will high five it and then exceed all expectations. We wish Mick was clone-able. We can only hope science will fix that one day.
