For an outstanding culinary experience, Michelin-starred number one is recognized as one of Scotland's best restaurants, with Executive Chef Jeff Bland providing innovative cuisine with Scottish and French flavours.
They place emphasis on creative dishes whilst promoting the best of Scotland by using only the finest and freshest Scottish ingredients.
Number one was refurbished by Olga Polizzi, Director of Design for The Rocco Forte Collection. Some of the stunning features include golden-velvet banquettes and rich-red lacquered walls shipped from Hong Kong. The walls are adorned with eye-catching, unique art from the Institute of Art in London (1991-1995 graduates) which are part of the restaurant's unique atmosphere.
The restaurant was proud being awarded a Michelin Star in 2003, which it retains today as well as its three AA Rosettes.
In 2008 the restaurant was awarded the "Fine Dining Experience" Award at the inaugural Scottish Restaurant Awards.
The bar at number one is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a drink while glancing over the menu.
Chose from an extensive list of champagnes, traditional and contemporary cocktails and a range of international wines carefully selected by number one's Sommelier Peter Adshead.
