Introduction
The historic Great North Road began its course at Smithfield in Pre-Roman times, heading North by way of St. John Street - the first or final stop on this great trading route between London and Edinburgh.
In opening our restaurant in late 2010, it felt as though the route we intended to set out upon was not too dissimilar.
Our relationship with our ingredients, with where they are from and who they were grown by, inspires our ever evolving menu. We work closely with our suppliers to bring in produce when it is at its best, sourcing exclusively from within the British Isles and from within the season.
