Introduction
Cubana is a discovery place. Definitely not just another overpriced chain-run theme bar, Cubana is a genuine Cuban-Latino bar-restaurant with some of London's best fresh, tropical fruit cocktails - and they also offer surprisingly tasty food based on recipes from pre-revolutionary cookbooks prepared from fresh, free-range ingredients at very reasonable prices. Cubana's signature dish is Pollo Criollo - free-range chicken sautéed in fresh orange, garlic, onions and sherry, served with fried plantain and black bean rice. Prime Scotch char-grilled sirloin steak marinated Cuba-style, with the trimmings. There is also a great selection of veggie dishes and tapas, including falafel Cubana and barbecued prawn skewer and lush desserts like home-made soft serve gelato ice-cream.
