Karrimor was established in 1946 by Charles and Mary Parson along with Grace Davies when they started producing cycle bags in Lancashire. The first climbing rucksacks were produced in 1957 in conjunction with climbers of the day Jimmy Rostron and Dave Thomas. The Karrimor Brand continued to be a success and dominated the market with the ‘Alpiniste’ in the 1960’s. Many other innovative designs and techniques were introduced in the following years.
