Today Wooburn is still owned and run by David Smith. Wooburn production units now include Hull, Canada and Hastings some 20 years later. In 2008 Wooburn Woodchip sold over 500,000 bales in the U.K and sold a similar amount in 2009. Wooburn customers get the benefit of dealing with a family run business which has excellent relationships with its source providers enabling Wooburn to guarantee not only its supply but the quality of its products produced. Wooburn’s customer base spans the U.K as far North as Scunthorpe and to the South in Devon. Wooburnis able to deliver nationally via its own artic Lorries and is supported by some of the biggest distribution companies in the U.K for any additional deliveries.
