Introduction
Wooburn Woodchips was started by a design engineer called David Smith, David already owned and ran a successful engineering company called Bale-Pak which was involved in the manufacture of balers and associated plant for the processing of equestrian and pet bedding products. Wooburn purchased its first baling machine from Bale-Pak in the January of 1985 and began producing 1st Quality bales via the Travis Perkins mill in Aylesford. David’s ethos as with his engineering company is to produce a quality product at all times, this has proved vital in the growth of both Wooburn and Bale-Pak over the last 20 years.
