Whipstock Guest Farm is situated 8 km above the village of McGregor in Cape Town South Africa and has 2 self catering cottages and 3 bed/breakfast cottages.

Vrolijkheid Nature Reserve lies close to the village with birds a plenty.There is a bird hide on the edge of the water.
The Rooikat Trail - in the reserve is a day hike and is particularly beautiful in late August & September.
The Boesmanskloof Trail - is 16 km to Greyton. Can be fetched at end of trail end 7 km from Whipstock (McGregor lies another 7 km down from the farm.) Alternatively only the McGregor side of the trail can be hiked to the waterfall and rock pool for swimming.It is approximately 4 hours there and back.Permits are available through Cape Nature.
Apart from the area hiking trails there are different walks on the farm.Swimming and canoeing on the Whipstock dam with clear mountain water.
Wine cellars - there are numerous wineries in the Breede River Valley with cellar tours & wine tasting.
McGregor is a historic village full of interesting buildings & quiet roads.
