Westlake Recovery House

Review of Westlakes Recovery of Austin TX, a sober living facility, accepted our son for a 6-month, prepaid stay costing us over $6,500 based on assurances that they had experience with Bipolar Disorder and could help our son. Yet Westlakes Recovery let our son's mania go untreated for three days and then kicked him out for rule violations that were the result of his medical problem.

Westlakes Recovery kicked our son out after less than 2 weeks and refused to refund any of our money. The Director told me our son was kicked out for cursing, outbursts of anger, late for a meeting and parking in the wrong place. I was not told prior to selecting Westlakes Recovery that there is a list of 50 rules and three violations would result in being kicked out.
