Wellesley Animal Hospital is one of the greatest full-service veterinary hospital serving all of Richmond, Short Pump, Glen Allen, and Henrico VA. The main mission of our veterinarians and staff is to provide the highest-quality medical, surgical, preventative, and dental care to dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, rabbits, rodents, and other exotic animals. This is exactly what Wellesley Animal Hospital acheives- and we do this everyday. Doctors Mark and Kelly Gottschalk founded the animal hospital in 2001. Since then, Wellesley's veterinary team and services have expanded to accommodate the needs of our increasingly growing west Richmond community. In addition to the Gottschalks, our hospital now employs three associate veterinarians, five licensed and degreed veterinary technicians (or nurses), and a variety of skilled vet support staff. Our versatile team is proud to provide a wide range of excellent veterinary services. We offer pet wellness and preventative care, such as vaccinations and parasite control, as well as pet dentistry services, acupuncture, and laser therapy. We conduct in-house tests and screenings, utilizing our advanced diagnostic equipment and in-house laboratory. And our skilled veterinarians perform outpatient surgeries — both general and dental — in our two surgical suites.
