Introduction
Weird Fish is back open and it's absolutely good news. Owner Timothy Holt is now in full control of the restaurant, and it's no longer related to The Corner, located next door.
There's a lot that's new at the eclectic Mission spot, and also a lot that's old. The current menu brings back many of the classic Weird Fish dishes from its glory days of 2007 and 2008, like the fish and chips, fish tacos, buffalo boys/girls, yo yo's (deep fried pickles), vegetarian dishes, and so on. But it's not all greatest hits, as Braid will also be featuring original, seasonal dishes with produce from Holt's Healdsburg farm. Normal dinner hours (Monday-Thursday 5:30 10:00pm, Friday - Saturday 5:30pm-11pm); lunch Monday-Friday 11:30-3:30 and brunch on Saturday from 10-3:30.
The short break has also offered the opportunity to make some changes to the interior. The subtle touch of a new coat of paint, and refinished floors lends the feeling of a reinvigorated setting. Navigator/manager Vin Ro has an eye for detail and a love for local art, so what should really catch your eye is the featured art installation by Romanowski (www.romanowskiart.com), as well as the selection of sculpted artwork by Natasha Dikareva (dikarevart.com).
