WestBay Surf School have a base at Westward Ho! and also provide a mobile service for surfing lessons at beaches across North Devon, including Saunton Sands and Putsborough. We take great pride in giving our surf lessons that personal touch and that’s why we have a strict instructor-to-student ratio to ensure that personal level of instruction for every participant.
Our emphasis is on quality not quantity so whether you are a complete beginner or an improver WestBay Surf can style the lesson to suit your requirements.

If you are aged from 8 years to 80 plus years, guys and girls, singles and couples, groups and families come and share this unique experience of surfing; where you will find a friendly, considerate, patient and professional surf instructor who will help with your specific requirements.
If you prefer, private lessons are also available for those who would like the instructor all to themselves!

Lead Surf Instructor
WestBay Surf School has highly experienced surf instructors with many years experience working in the UK and France. Our instructors are qualified as Level 2 British Surf Association instructors, offering a safe and high quality surfing lessons at locations across North Devon.
Safety is paramount with our Coasteering trips, as such and in accordance with AALA we maintain a strict instructor to client ratio.
Surf and Coasteering instructors are qualified Beach Lifeguards who are fully CRB checked, so you can have complete peace of mind. Our Child Safeguarding policy can be produced on request. We take great pride in giving our surf lessons that personal touch and that’s why we have a strict instructor-to-student ratio to ensure that personal level of instruction for every participant.
