Introduction
Walsh Moving & Storage is a full service moving company that has been family owned and operated out of the same building in Torrance since 1964. Since the beginning, we consider quality and excellence the foundation of our company. We are our own long distance van line, we do not subcontract or pass your move on to other companies. When you start with us, you end with us. We realize moving can be a stressful time; with our professional movers we deliver what others promise.
Local Moves
Walsh Moving & Storage services all of the South Bay, Long Beach and surrounding areas. Our rates start at $90.00 an hour for two men and a truck. And add $30.00 an hour per extra man. For example 3 men would cost $120.00 per hour. There are no fuel taxes, or any other taxes added, just a straight hourly rate.
The time starts when we arrive at your residence, and ends when the move is complete. The time is calculated in 15-minute increments. We have a 2 hour minimum.
Like most movers we are regulated by the PUC and the drive time between your pick-up address and the destination is doubled (for example: 30 minutes drive time = 1 Hour)
Long Distance
Walsh Moving & Storage will move your items to all 48 states. Like all longhaul movers, we charge by the weight and miles of your shipment. We will take a 1,000 lbs minimum while most movers will charge you a 4,000 lbs minimum.
If you are moving out of the Los Angeles area, Walsh is local and we can pick up any day you would wish. Depending on where you are going, delivery is estimated to be 3 – 15 days after pick up. If you are not in Southern California, Walsh can still service your move. We can pick up and take your goods anywhere in the country.
