Introduction
Quality care with a personal approach from their first check up to their senior years.
Our first puppy and kitten health checks are free of charge to encourage owners to bring in their new arrival as early as possible for a full physical and care advice. We offer the latest immunisation technology with 10-week finish early puppy vaccination to get puppies out to socialise and safely learn from life as early as possible. Adult C5 dog vaccines provide up to three years immunity against parvovirus, distemper and hepatitis with only canine cough vaccinations necessary annually. A microchip is recommended.
Our puppy preschool classes are designed to be a gentle and supportive introduction to socialisation and training, run by experienced veterinary nurses. The most important time to socialise a puppy is up to 14 to 16 weeks of age and our classes are designed to make the most of this critical time.
Kittens and cats also benefit from the latest vaccines including protection against herpesvirus, calicivirus and parvovirus (called the F3 or 'flu and enteritis') plus feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV or cat AIDS) of major importance for cats who get outside. We pride ourselves on our knowledge and handling of rabbits, ferrets, rodents and birds.
We offer full in-house medical and hospital options for any illness, including diagnostics such as X-ray, ultrasound, blood testing, ECG and blood pressure. Our medical management includes the latest therapies for diseases such as heart failure, cancer treatment and any complex disease. Our most frequently seen problems include ear infections and allergic (atopic) dermatitis for which we have effective management protocols.
We offer surgical options from desexing, dentistry and minor day procedures sch as lump removal to complex surgery such as cruciate ligaments, patellar surgery and fracture repair, all via state of the art anaesthetic monitoring. Arthritis is managed by individually tailored plans including lifestyle adjustment, natural remedies such as Cartrophen (pentosan) or j/d diet foods up to Stem Cell Therapy and antiinflammatory treatment.
Consultations and check ups are with our experienced and caring vets who have 30 years of combined experience, and we take your concerns seriously. We stock a range of Hills Science Diet and Royal Canin Vetsize diets.
We serve clients in the central and north east suburbs of Adelaide including North Adelaide, Collinswood, Walkerville, Medindie, Gilberton, Nailsworth, Sefton Park, Klemzig, Windsor Gardens, Broadview, Manningham, Greenacres, Hillcrest, Marden and St Peters. We are open Mon-Fri 8am to 6:30pm and 9am-4pm Saturdays.
