Meet Our Team (1)
Elen Davis
Owner
Elena Davis is the president of Vrooman’s, a free lance bookkeeping/accounting service. Vrooman’s works closely with individuals and small businesses alike, providing bookkeeping/accounting services, payroll, tax preparation, and notary services for individuals and small businesses.
With more than 30 years experience in business management and finance, Ms. Davis has navigated both sole proprietors and partnerships through the murky waters of striking out on their own, including but not limited to: determining the appropriate structure for the business, obtaining the necessary licensing and tax identification information, and worker’s compensation exemption filings. Once the businesses were successfully launched, Ms. Davis continued to provide financial services, including monthly bookkeeping duties, financial statements and year-end paperwork, and tax preparation.
Ms. Davis holds a Masters Degree in Accounting from Florida Metropolitan University, as well as joint Bachelor’s Degrees in Business Administration and Accounting from Orlando College. She has been a licensed notary since 1998. She holds several certifications and has been featured in various publications of Who’s Who for over a decade. Her professional experience has included companies with annual sales upwards of $5 million dollars. She has managed a $1 million dollar company and been responsible for the day-to-day operations of several smaller operations. Ms. Davis also has hands-on experience in the areas of insurance, as well as human resources. She prides herself on discretion and a high level of professionalism.
Ms. Davis is an active member within the local community. Notably, she provides no-cost income tax preparation services to low-to-moderate income individuals and families through a program at the West Oaks Library, in Ocoee. She is an active member in her church, as well as volunteering through the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America, and Orange County Public Schools. She is a member of NNA, NAPW, NRC’s Business Advisory Council, and FMU’s Business Board.
In addition to the above, when Elena is not working she enjoys spending time with her three children and five grandchildren. She also enjoys camping, country music and crafting. Each day she strives to grow personally and professionally. Elena is passionate about making a difference in the world and is dedicated to helping independent owners and entrepreneurs develop their businesses with the same systems and strategies that larger organizations use to create distinction and long term success.
