I’m a Nashville native, mother of two and an attorney with my own private practice, but I’m probably not like most lawyers you know. Before I earned my law degree, I was an officer and detective for 10 years with the Metro Nashville PD. I’ve worked on SWAT teams, search and rescue, undercover narcotics and vice control, youth services, anti-terrorism investigations (jointly with the FBI), and of course many days and nights on patrol. The experience helps me in so many ways as a lawyer, both in terms of skill set and perspective, having worked on multiple sides of our law-and-order system. This may sound simple, but I know where to go to get things done, and I know how to talk to people, whether I’m deposing, negotiating, investigating or de-escalating a difficult situation.
