As a matter of fact, LittleValve sprinkler products were developed as a way to make sprinkler maintenance easier and faster. The picture below shows a pop-up sprinkler being flushed by just one person without helpers and without going back and forth to the controller or valve.

After flushing, shut off flow exiting the extended pop-up stem (like you see below) by turning the little key clockwise. Re-attach the nozzle. Then turn the key counter-clockwise until desired amount of water exits nozzle to exactly the distance you want. Pull out the key and you're done.
