Val Timlin
Owner, VTHR
Val Timlin is a senior HR professional with considerable experience of working at strategic and operational levels.
She has provided generalist HR support to a variety of small businesses including:
ï‚§producing effective policies to comply with relevant legislation and
best practice;
managing employment relations issues including running grievance
and disciplinary cases;
ï‚§running short training sessions for managers and HR teams ;
ï‚§running recruitment projects for staff at all levels and at all stages of
the process;
ï‚§providing executive coaching for managers who are new in post or
approaching a career crossroad.
She also has experience of supporting organisations on:
ï‚§change management programmes to improve service delivery;
ï‚§staff engagement campaigns to influence behaviours;
ï‚§coaching to support staff through periods of change;
ï‚§multiple programmes and action plans to drive organisational and
cultural change;
ï‚§developing and implementing a competence framework;
ï‚§conducting a skills audit to identify gaps in organisation and
individual capability.
Val is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, she is also an executive coach having qualified with the Academy of Executive Coaching and she successfully completed the ACAS Diploma in Workplace Mediation.
