Up & Running was founded by Gillian MacFarlane in 1992 in a store no bigger than a small box room. The store in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, was started with one goal in mind... To serve and be of service to the running community, no matter their goals, distances and chosen terrain. That vision is as true today as it was back in 1992.
Up & Running has come a long way in a relatively short time, but it has maintained a strong running heritage with a deep, deep connection to the UK running community.
