Our mission statement:
The mission of Understand Photography is to provide photography lessons to photographers who prefer step by step, easy to understand instructions.
Students can learn at their own pace, at our photography studio in Naples, Florida, on location or in the privacy of their own home via DVD or online classes.
* Hands-on classes and workshops – This is how we started and hands-on is definitely the best way to learn!
* Half and full day excursions – Hands-on excursions with training included!
* Travel photography trips – The ultimate – travel AND photography – with a pro-photographer!
* Online training – Let’s face it – we don’t always have time for hands-on.
* Video Education – Coming soon!
* Portfolio building model shoots – Super fun way to practice with your peers and build up your portfolio!
* Free photowalks – while not official classes, we offer opportunities to get to gether with fellow photographers and take pictures!
Understand Photography was founded by Peggy Farren, an award-winning, working professional photographer. Peggy recognized the need to offer training – and in an easy to understand fashion. Peggy has a way of simplifying the technical parts of photography and of making learning FUN!
We’ve also recruited some incredible teachers. All workshops are pre-screened to make sure they are easy to follow and complete. Our students evaluate and help us get better and better. Our goal is to help you learn and coming back!!
