Introduction
Trekking Team Group is a responsible tour operator focusing on authentic holidays since 1991. A travelife Certified & Tripadvisor's Certificate of Excellence Winner with over 25 years in operating trip in the Himalayas including Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan & India.
We care about an environment, promotes social responsibility and green Tourism. We are an advocate and follower of the five principles of IPPG.
We use local guides and use accommodation owned by the locals. We use even homestay to get a real experience of Nepali life. We mostly use locally produced organic food whenever possible in our trip and discourage the use of imported foods to our clients.
We are against plastic and the proud member of the TAP (Travellers Against Plastic), so we provide water bottle and filter for the group trips so that you do not have to buy a mineral water. This will save environment and money. We never recommend trekkers to buy bottled water. Filtered, boiled or purified water is the best options in the mountains.
We do not use animals during our trekking holidays. We use porters to carry the luggage whenever needed. The welfare of animals is equally important to us. Our goal is not to be a cause or supporter of animal suffering. Therefore, we do not enjoy activities involving animals.
We are a member and supporter of The Code. This is an industry-driven responsible tourism initiative with a mission to provide awareness to the tourism industry in order to prevent the sexual exploitation of the children.

Namaste, my name is Shreehari Thapaliya. I am married and father of two children. I’m CEO and founder of Trekking Team Group. I have started working in the tourism sector at the age of 16, soon after my school graduation. I established Mandala Ticket Booking Service in 1989, my first step on tourism industry.
I always want to work for the tourism development in Nepal, especially on adventure tourism. So we established Trekking Team Group that specialised on adventure holiday in Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan.
I’ve traveled extensively in and out of Nepal mostly to experience the tour itineraries so that I can better serve our clients with accurate and suitable information.
I often take part in travel show such as BIT Milan, ITB Berlin, WTM London, SMT Paris as well as US and Japan. These travels have greatly broadened my vision, and thus helped a lot in designing new itineraries for our clients.
Travel has now become an important part of my life. I enjoy traveling and working within this field.
