Introduction
Timberland Associates provides forest and timber management for landowners in west Tennessee and north Mississippi. We have the technical expertise and operational experience to perform most any forestry operation, and get the job done "on-the-ground".
By meeting with the landowner on the tract, we learn their goals and objectives for the property and use this input to outline different options available to achieve those objectives.
The first step is to inventory the timber and trees. During this inventory we also note the small trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plants in the understory. This info is needed to better understand the forest dynamics, and the wildlife that might call this "home".
A management proposal is then written for the landowner's approval and specific silvicultural prescriptions can be applied to the forest that improve or enhance the timber investment, wildlife habitat, and/or recreational opportunities.
