The Wembley MediSpa in Cape Town is an exclusively upmarket and contemporary day cosmetic centre, operated entirely by professionally qualified medical doctors and aestheticians.
The Institute was born out of the necessity to quell Cape Town’s burgeoning demand for highly professional, decisively accurate and avant-garde aesthetic and minor cosmetic surgery, alongside everyday grooming therapies.
Cape Town is world renown as an elite cosmopolitan tourist destination and is therefore well poised to welcome the internationally accredited procedures and treatments performed by the clinic’s American trained Aesthetic Surgeon.
Focused solely on results driven therapies, The Wembley Clinic offers cutting edge cosmetic surgical procedures and medical management of aesthetic conditions with Botox, Derma-fillers and medical lasers.
The Wembley MediSpa also offer facial and body treatments, such as Antioxidant Facials, Anti-Free Radical Treatments, the latest and most luxurious anti-ageing and every day spa therapies, including holistic grooming and beauty treatments.
The Wembley MediSpa at Wembley Square boasts six ultra-chic, super-comfortable treatment rooms with the finest and most modern equipment available in the market. Our equipment & services include the latest medical grade lasers, chemical peels, aesthetic products and treatments on offer internationally. Some of the clinic’s exclusive flagship anti-aging treatments are on offer only at The Wembley MediSpa and nowhere else in South Africa.
The Wembley MediSpa extends to offer a multitude of other services including massage in a variety of styles – Classic Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Work, Ankle & Foot Massage, Reflexology, Sports and others results driven therapies, performed by university trained physiotherapists, specifically aimed at the rehabilitation of sports injuries sustained by the elite sportsmen and women at Wembley.

Carmen McGowan earned her qualification as a somatologist from the highly acclaimed Cape Peninsula University of Technology. She possesses a national and International Diploma in Somatology and Skincare.
Having worked at various spas, clinics and salons Carmen brings with her a spritely charm and youthful exuberance in all that she does.

Dr. Kamlen Pillay

“We are first and foremost a result-driven clinic, I have always been fascinated by aesthetic medicine and particularly in the incredible advances being made in the area of cell biology, but also believe in the simple rejuvenating benefits of being thoroughly pampered. As such I did not want to create a clinic that offered purely medical treatments but rather a true amalgamation of clinic and spa, where you can experience a one-stop makeover that does not invade too much into your time or your pocket, yet offers real tangible long-term results.â€
After graduating with an MBChB from the University of Cape Town, Dr Pillay worked as a medical officer in the disciplines of Orthopaedics, General & Plastic Surgery. Having recently returned from the USA, Dr Pillay was appointed as a Surgical Registrar at the University of Cape Town.
During his time is in the US, Dr Pillay pursued his interests in Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery at the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, from where he received a Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine and Board Certifcate.
As the Medical Director of the Wembley MediSpa, Dr Pillay, ensures that the clinic is dedicated to cutting edge, holistic Aesthetic and Cosmetic procedures.
His academic interests include being the course co-ordinator and curriculum advisor of the BTEC Medical Laser course at the Cape Technicon CPUT.
Dr Pillay has done numerous aesthetic courses, certifications and trainings in Europe and America, including a preceptorship in advanced Liposuction and Body Sculpting at the Centres for Health Promotions in Florida, Miami USA. He holds memberships with a number of professional associations including the World Society of Anti-Aging Medicine, American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, Aesthetic and Anti-aging Medicine Society of South Africa and the UIME.
His key areas of interest include the use of stem cells and PRP in anti-aging and cosmetic procedures as well as the use of lasers in Aesthetic medicine.
Dr Pillay’s honest approach to Aestetic Practice and his keen eye for detail has attracted a number of international celebrities and local icons to covet his expert services.

Liezl has worked both abroad and all over South Africa in 5* Spas, Game lodges and Resorts. She has operated as a skin therapist, trainer and manager. Having studied somatology at the International Academy of Health and Skin Care, Sajida gainded extensive experience in the world of Aesthetics by working at various aesthetic clinics and spas before joing the Wembley MediSpa team.
