The Vanguard is an intimate live music venue, bar and restaurant with a 1920’s feel to the interior. We provide quality entertainment with elegant and stylish dining and a vibrant, dynamic bar scene.
Our friendly and unpretentious luxury has an ambience unlike any other and has played host to some of the greats of the Australian and international music scene. From giants like Elvis Costello, Steve Poltz and The Tea Party passing through our doors to Adalita, Missy Higgins, Washington and Gotye, as well as iconic Australian artists like Ian Moss, Jimmy Barnes, Tex Perkins and Neil Finn to name just a few.

Our Chef was trained under award winning chefs and his menus are designed to be interesting without being intimidating, meaning that foodies though to the everyman will be delighted by his delicious taste sensations.
The venue has a very flexible layout, and is adapted each night to best suit the entertainment being showcased, so it can feel like a totally new experience every time.
