The new Van Dyck reopened by the McDonald family in June of 2009, is quickly becoming the premiere location for casual fare, private events, and live entertainment. Originally opened in 1947, The Van Dyck has long since been known as a top-notch jazz room, with its second floor jazz lounge named one of the best listening settings in the country. The landmark has been through numerous renovations, but its most recent look has brought the historic building new life. Upon entering, the 46 foot solid mahogany bar leads you back to our refinished patio, where the soon to be opened brewery can be seen through the glass enclosed brewhouse. The main dining room provides a comfortable setting for a meal of any kind. The Van Dyck also has private rooms to hold an event of any size. The second floor Entertainment Lounge has been host to countless legendary acts through the years. Today it plays to host to local and national musicians, comedians, and is a great setting for private events.
