The St James is positioned right at the centre of Paynes Bay, considered to be the finest beach in Barbados, on the fabulous Gold Coast, and looks directly out across golden sands and the azure Caribbean Sea. The St James is literally right on the beach and our guests have a wide stretch of beach on which to relax on their sun loungers under sunshades.
The St James luxury apartment hotel consists of 11 different apartments and studios and we can accommodate a party of any size.
We do not have a bar or restaurant as our guests love experiencing the world renowned bars and restaurants in the local area, or preparing their own meals with delicious fresh Caribbean foods from the supermarket just down the road. Each apartment has a fully equipped Italian open plan kitchen, and we can also provide a cook upon request.
So, start your day with breakfast in the privacy of your own balcony overlooking the Ocean, then you are free to relax in the tropical sunshine on the golden sands. A few steps out from The St James and you are swimming in crystal clear, calm waters, with the turtles to keep you company.
When evening approaches, wander down to the beach with your favourite sundowner in hand, and sit and watch the sunset. Then fix your own barbecue on the sands and dine under the stars, with the gentle sounds of the ocean around you.
