The Royal Oak Retains Michelin Star in the Guide's January 2011 Announcements!
'I am delighted that the Royal Oak has retained the Michelin Star. We are one of only ten pubs in the country to hold a Michelin Star and one of only two to hold both a Michelin Star and three AA Rosettes. The food is undoubtedly amongst the finest I have eaten and I believe these prestigious awards confirm our status as one of the best eating places in Britain. I am so chuffed with all the fantastic staff who have worked so hard and they should be very proud.â?
'We hope that we are creating the ambiance, service and menu which suits our customers, the most critical of which is yours truly. I eat there most days of the week so it had better be good.â?
