The Pulpit Inn

The Pulpit Inn is a family run public house, with Dan and Jackie being mine host for over 28 years, along with daughter Catherine. Overlooking the English Channel at Portland Bill on the Isle of Portland, on the Jurassic coast. The southwest coastal path crosses the land of the pub.

We offer an extensive menu from simple sandwiches, hearty home cooked dishes, through to locally source fresh fish, shellfish, prime steaks, duck and chicken. On a Sunday lunchtime we have are renowned Sunday Roast Carvery which has been said “to be the best in the west”.

The Pulpit Inn accommodation offers panoramic sea views from every window. We only have 3 letting rooms which makes it a very personal, friendly, family stay. Every room has its own washbasin, tea, coffee making facilities as well as television with freeview. (En-suite has sky freeview and own bathroom).
