The Old Bakery

The multi-award winning 4 star Silver and 2 AA Rosette Old Bakery Restaurant with Rooms is ideally located in the Uphill area of Lincoln, close to Lincoln Cathedral, Castle and many other points of historic interest in the Cathedral Quarter with it's popular mix of original shops, cafes and public houses which are to be found on the Bailgate and Steep Hill. The surroundings at The Old Bakery are rustic, relaxed and informal.

In addition to receiving the Lincolnshire Life Best Restaurant of the Year Award 2007/8 and 2005/6, winning the Tastes of Lincolnshire Restaurant Category in February 2006 and highly commended in 2007, 2008 and 2009, The Old Bakery were winners in the Lincolnshire Star Awards 2007 under the heading "Profit through Passion" and finalists in 'Accommodation of the Year - Serviced' in 2008. During 2007/8 we received a Regional Gold Award for East Midlands Tourism Enjoy England Excellence Awards and a National Silver Award in the Taste of England category. During September 2007 we featured in The Sunday Times Travel Magazine 'Top 100 Finest Places to Stay in England' as one of five establishments nominated in the Foodie category. During May 2008, we featured in The Guardian as one of only two finest establishments in the Food category to stay in Lincolnshire and according to The Independent in June 2009 we were amongst the top 50 restaurants in the country. In July 2008 we received the 'Winning Business of the Year - under £2m turnover' award at the Lincolnshire Business Awards and more recently feature in Hardens 2009 Guide in the category of 'Commended' and The Good Food Guide 2010.
