Introduction
The OLLIE Foundation is a suicide prevention charity with a focus on youth suicide. It was founded by three parents who all lost their sons to suicide and wanted to do something to ensure other parents didn’t have to suffer the same loss. We deliver a range of suicide awareness, prevention and intervention training relating specifically to suicide. We sponsor a significant amount of the cost of the training to make it accessible to as many ‘every day’ people. Our aim is to create ‘suicide safe’ communities where vulnerable individuals feel supported and able to talk about their feelings. Although based in Hertfordshire our trainers can travel to deliver training. We run open courses which anyone can attend, as well as delivering in-house training to a wide range of organisations. Our training ranges from 90 minutes to 2 full days.
