Introduction
The Nettle Inn is a delightful Family run 16th century Country Inn located within the Peak District nestled on the outskirts of the pretty village of Ashover (Winner of the ‘Village Of The Year’ Award 2006).
We are proud to have won several highly regarded awards in recent years including being ranked number 36 by THE TIMES newspaper spring 2010 in their ‘50 Best Places To Eat In The Countryside’, ‘CAMRA Pub of The Season 2008’,and 3rd in the Derbyshire Food & Drink Festival 2008, to name a few. Along with this the Nettle Inn was also used on a regular basis for filming for the well-known television series ’Peak Practice’.
The Inn itself boasts many original features including log fires, exposed stone walls and rustic beams throughout our bars, snug, and restaurant all of which add to the charm and character of this traditional Country Inn, and makes for a warm & inviting atmosphere to all guests, including children and pets.
Our Award Winning Restaurant uses local ingredients and as the menu has evolved we have strived to source suppliers who share the same passion for local produce as we do.
The Award Winning Real Ales on the bar are also locally supplied, including ‘Peak Ales, Chatsworth Brewary’.
We offer both casual classic bar meals and snacks, along with a highly popular ‘specials board’ and a mouth-watering ‘A La Carte’ restaurant menu.
Our quaint and charming en-suite bedrooms have the usual facilities you would expect for a relaxing stay and have stunning views over the valley and beyond. Included in the price is a delicious Full English breakfast to set you up for the day ahead.
