Introduction
As cult Brisbane food venues go, Little Larder is pretty close to top of the list. Hidden away in the Brisbane suburb of New Farm, Little Larder is inhabited by the relaxed, stylish local residents from the young cool to the well-heeled Gen X groups.
Having been an established part of the Brisbane dining scene for nearly six years now, Little Larder also has connections to the local and international music scene with bands such as the Scissor Sisters, Johnny Diesel, Van She and even Darryl Brathwaite all having had a bite to eat at the café in recent years.
With the capacity to serve 60 guests at peak periods, and with over 1000 people passing through the doors on an average week, Little Larder is a huge favourite with local residents. The funky interior displays ‘for sale’ artwork by local artists whilst the menu reflects modern Australian cuisine in the medium price range. External catering is also available and very popular.
The definite highlight of Little Larder are the staff, an eclectic local mix themselves, with a cheeky attitude. Owner and Chef, Geordie Smith has a colourful history in the Brisbane food scene with time spent at The Rest with Damian Young, Le Scoops, Tongue and Groove and Onyx. His experience in these restaurants and his eclectic personality shows in every dish at Little Larder and him and his team won’t disappoint.
