Introduction
We opened the Castle Restaurant in June 2006 and have strived to offer excellent quality food and provide value for money. We were voted "best restaurant in Kirkcubright" after our first year and have continued to live up to this title ever since.
Our inspiration comes from the wonderful local produce available in Dumfries & Galloway and the desire to offer interesting food that showcases our spectacular region.
Our setting is unrivalled; siutated directly opposite the stunning McClellan's Castle in the wonderful harbour town of Kirkcudbright. Our restaurant is small and intimate and provides the perfect setting for an intimate dinner, family lunch or informal party.
We regularly have music evenings with a menu to match the theme of our musician - Spanish guitar & tapas or good old fashioned Irish songs & Irish Stew.
We pride ourselves on being extremely flexible with menu choices and prices. Just ask and we can give you a menu and a price to suit your requirements. We provide outside catering too, so if you manage to find a location better (or bigger!) than ours we will deliver to you. Anything and everything is possible! We look forward to welcoming you at the Castle Restaurant.
Our usual opening hours are Monday to Saturday from 6pm onwards. Our restaurant is small and intimate so booking is recommended particularly during the summer season. We are happy to open for lunches - just call to book, similarly Sunday evening reservations can be made if booked in advance.
