Tezirah's Souk

Tezirah's Souk is an online shop selling a wide variety of belly dance costumes, including chiffon skirts and veils, silk skirts and veils, belly dance tops, hip scarves, body stockings, zills, cover ups, Isis wings and more. We are UK based and offer free shipping within the UK.

Tezirah’s Souk is run by husband and wife team Tessa (Tezirah) and Brian Lane. Tezirah is a working belly dancer who both teaches and performs in the Essex area, so she knows what works (and what doesn’t) in terms of styles, fabrics etc. All our products are chosen with this in mind and we select as many as possible of our beautiful costume items personally when we visit our suppliers in Istanbul.

At Tezirah’s Souk, we believe that every worker has the right to be paid a living wage in order to support themselves and their families. We are currently working on a range of original Tezirah's Souk designs created in the UK or Turkey by self-employed artisans and local businesses who receive fair payment for their skills and experience. Other items are ethically sourced from businesses we believe treat their workers well and pay them a fair wage. We personally visit as many of these businesses as we can and some are recommended to us by others who share our values.
