We exist to tell the stories of real-life heroes – whether it’s someone involved in a non-profit who is doing life-changing work or an adventurer who just completed an amazing feat, to an athlete who has broken a world record. The purpose of the publication is to inspire and uplift readers with stories of people who inspire us, who have overcome adversity, and who have used obstacles for creating a purpose that touch the lives of others.

So who are “we”? A media company called SGL Mediacast (www.sglmediacast.com). About a year ago, we started talking about the amazing stories of some of our friends and how we’d like to share them with the world using some sort of multimedia format. That vague idea developed into “Telescope.”

Why a multimedia magazine? It’s simply a great way to share these stories and then expand them to include all kinds of information and opportunities for our readers. Some of the people we share with you may be familiar; others are leading lives far away from the media spotlight. But all of them inspire us, and we figure that they’ll inspire you too. You may not relate to everyone (who relates to everyone?) but our goal is to share a diversity of stories that will make the chances a lot higher that someone’s story will connect with you and touch your life in a positive way.

Well, that’s pretty much our whole story – the rest is theirs. And, hopefully, it contributes to yours. Hope you enjoy.
