The Cottages at Tarraleah were constructed to entice the elite hydro engineers of the time. They offered every modern convenience and contemporary living design.
Today, the Cottages have been beautifully restored to their former glory and are filled with restored art and furniture pieces that complement the graceful internal curves, polished floorboards and spectacular views over the hills. All designed to give you the ultimate highland experience while snuggled up in our magnificently restored cottage accommodation
The Tarraleah Cottages give guests the experience of reliving the oppulance, style and comfort of the 20's and 30's. Guests can choose a range of dining and activities all within a short walk of their cottage. Tarraleah Cottage Accommodation is the perfect way to experience the Tasmanian Highlands and explore the native forests and pristine lakes.
The Cottages at Tarraleah are hand built by Tasmanian craftsmen in the 1930’s with Art deco flair and furnished with care, these self contained, one to three bedroom beautifully restored cottages are spacious, charming, warm and comfortable. Kitchen, dining area, and laundry are all included. An easy stroll across the village green to the Highland Store or call in to the Highlander Arms for local beer, wines and home cooked food. Teez Café is less than five minutes away and serves great coffee and home made cakes during the day.
