Introduction
Talk of Tea is a Tea House in the heart of Brighton specialising in loose leaf tea. We have the largest range in the city with over sixty different teas and herbal infusions to try. We also sell tea to take home so if you prefer drinking some of the finest blends in the comfort of you own home then we are happy to sell tea over the counter.
The concept behind Talk of Tea is simple; to open people’s eyes to the wide selection of tea that is out there. Although a teabag might be a quick and simple way of enjoying the world’s most popular drink there is a whole world of different teas to explore. With literally thousands of tea growing regions, estates, blends, herbal and fruit infusions, we stock only a tiny fraction, but we have chosen samples from across the spectrum to give a representative of some of the choicest teas and some of our personal favourites. The idea was to create the right ambience to enjoy tea with nice music and comfortable surroundings. We are always up for a friendly chat, hence the name choice, TALK of Tea. We would like to encourage visitors to talk to each other, to us, about tea or anything they wish. Many have said that it feels like being in their own living room when they walk in to Talk of Tea and this is exactly what we are hoping to create.
Another reason for the project was the abundance of coffee shops springing up on every corner, don’t get us wrong, we love a good cup of coffee and we use very tasty Small Batch coffee beans at the Tea House. But lately we found that as a supposed nation of tea drinkers we have allowed ourselves to be taken over with coffee without even really realising it! So we at Talk of Tea are bringing back tea and showing that you do not have to live life in a rush, come and relax, take 20 minutes, have a nice pot of tea, reduce your heart rate, revive your senses!
