Since April 2006, pension regulations in the UK have allowed expats to transfer their UK pension rights to Canada and other overseas countries. Recognized schemes, known as QROPS*(Qualifying Recognized Overseas Pension Scheme), are now available in Canada allowing those who are resident in Canada the opportunity of transferring Personal or Company pensions into an RRSP, without any UK tax deduction and drawing a pension income in Canadian Dollars. We provide a start to finish process that includes completing all necessary transfer paperwork, and liaising directly with the UK pension provider to make sure the transfer proceeds smoothly and the funds received directly into Canadian RRSP.
