Merv Phillips
Director
The Director of Skycam Aerial Services, Mervyn Phillips has a varied employment history that has provided a secure and steady base to lead and operate the Company. Precision and a keen eye from a life in jewellery, strategies and safe tactics from twenty years as a professional firefighter, coupled with management and instructional experience certainly provided a good foundation for Merv.
Mervyn trained as a Commercial Helicopter Pilot in which he was involved in management, training and people skills through a thirteen year career and attained over 5000 flying hours.
Over that period Merv was involved in Photographic Charter, Search and Rescue, Medivac, Tender Application, Scenic Flights and Island Transfer, Fire Reconnaissance and Fire Bombing at 12 Apostles (Victoria Australia), Nadi (Fiji) and Perth (Western Australia).
Merv has applied this experience and transposed it into his own company Skycam Aerial Services with the intention to provide a leading, cost effective, expert services to clients whilst focusing on safety, legal requirements and the environment.
